         <title>Engineering Services Superinte</title> 
       	 <description><![CDATA[Nauru - Engineering - The NRC is responsible for rehabilitation of mined out phosphate land and is seeking to engage a suitable candidate for the position of Engineering Services Superintendent who is the Head of the Engineering Services division.

The Engineering Services Superintendent is directly responsible to the Operations Manager for the following key duties:

i)	Management and control of engineering activities and personnel relating to mine planning, surveying, data collection and analysis relating to phosphate mining operations and rehabilitation of mined our land, drafting and preparation of working drawings and maintenance of buildings belonging to the Corporation;

ii)	Regular maintenance and updating of information through NRC Geographic Information System,

iii)	Coordinate the collection and evaluation of information and data gathered by Tally section and from the Workshop relating to operational activities using computer aided programs to suit the needs of the Corporation,

iv)	Design and prepare forward planning schedules of engineering activities relating to mining and rehabilitation of mined out lands, 

v)	Preparation of budget for engineering service division including developmental projects relating to mining and rehabilitation programs,

vi)	Recommend where required, methods to improve operations based on analysis of monthly operating data, 

vii)	Liaise with Mining Superintendent and Maintenance Superintendent on a regular basis with regards to mining and workshop data, 

viii)	Manage and control of the engineering service division to ensure the staff maintain satisfactory performance and are effective in the execution of their responsibilities 

ix)	Developing and implementing mine planning systems
x)	Other works as requested by the Operations Manager or CEO

QUALIFICATIONS

1)	Tertiary qualifications in mine engineering or a related discipline.
2)	5+ years of post graduate experience in open cut mining.
3)	Working knowledge of open cut mine design and scheduling software and Microsoft Office suite.
4)	Effective communication skills, both written and verbal with a demonstrated ability to write concise technical reports, make presentations, and efficiently run meetings.
5)	Demonstrate Problem solving skills through experiences covering technical problems.
6)	Ability to plan, schedule and manage priorities.
7)	Demonstrate through experience ability to negotiate with external and internal clients and service providers are desirable.

TERM &amp; CONDITIONS 

The successful applicant will be engaged on a 2-year single contract and is entitled to travel to point of recruitment every four (4) months with 14 days leave. Starting salary is negotiable from AU$50, per annum (tax free on Nauru) and will be commensurate with salary scale in the Asia Pacific region, Other conditions include:
