         <title>Head Chef</title> 
       	 <description><![CDATA[Marshall Islands - Hospitality - HEAD CHEF

RRE is one of the largest and oldest employers in the Marshall Islands, and we are looking for an experienced and talented chef to lead the way at the Tide Table Restaurant, in coordination with the Restaurant Manager, in downtown Majuro, Marshall Islands. 

-Prepare and cook foods of all types, including various local reef and pelagic fish, in varibale fashion, on a regular basis and for special guests or functions.

-Create varying menus, including healthy choices

-Determine how food should be presented, and create decorative food displays.

-Estimate amounts and costs of required supplies, such as food and ingredients. Understand portion control and order, prepare and present accordingly.

-Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure conformance to established standards. Understand and utilize rotation of supplies to lessen waste.

-Instruct other cooks in the preparation, cooking, garnishing,  aromatizing and presentation of food.

-Establish and demand extremely high sanitation practices to ensure that employees follow standards and regulations.

-Order or requisition food and other supplies needed to ensure efficient operation.

-Analyze recipes to assign prices to menu items, based on food, labor, and overhead costs.

-Meet with clients to discuss menus and catering for special occasions such as weddings, parties, and banquets.

-Negotiate prices and order supplies.- corrdinating with the restaurant manager

-Supervise activities of cooks and workers engaged in food preparation.

-Collaborate with other personnel to plan and develop recipes and menus, taking into account such factors as seasonal availability of ingredients and the likely number of customers.

-Check the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met.

-Check the quantity and quality of received products.

-Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to staff.
